Picture Day

UPDATE: Picture day will take place rain or shine. If raining, they will be taken under the pavilion at "A" Field

Picture Day is this Saturday, April 26th at Community Park - same area as Opening Day, entrance opposite Brandywine Wallace

Parents will need to fill out the Picture Day form and attach a check. 
There will be envelopes at the field on picture day.

EBYA Travel Baseball – 9U, 11U & 12U Teams

For many years, EBYA has provided competitive Cal Ripken Recreational League baseball for children of all levels. We are excited to announce that the Bulls travel baseball program will officially fall under the direction of EBYA. This is exciting news for many reasons. It will allow any child playing within the EBYA Cal Ripken Spring program an opportunity to tryout and play at an elite level, against elite competition, with top level coaching, for a reasonable price.

All players must be registered in order to tryout. There is no fee for trying out.

Please note the tryout dates and below:

11u & 12u tryouts: Saturday, October 31st @ 11am - 1pm (Spatola Field)

9u tryouts: Saturday, October 31st @ 1pm - 2:30pm (Spatola Field)

Please review the birthdates listed below to determine what tryout your child should attend.

12U - Players born between May 1, 2003 and April 30, 2004

11U - Players born between May 1, 2004 and April 30, 2006

9U - Players born between May 1, 2006 and April 30, 2008

FAQ

What is Travel Baseball: It is an opportunity for EBYA players to play against elite teams from inside and outside of our area.

Players per team: There will be 11-12 players on a team.

How are teams selected: Now that the Bulls fall under EBYA the tryout process is more structured. There will be coaches from the other teams helping with evaluations. The team selection process will be a group effort to avoid "politics" and to make for a fair process and allow every child a fair chance at making the team.

What will this cost: The anticipated total cost will be somewhere around $700. Cost depends on the number of tournaments played.

Practice Schedule: Winter Training will be held for approx. 8 weeks starting in January. We are still working through the details. Practice will be moved outdoors once the weather allows. Frequency will not be determined until we get closer.

Tournaments: Each team will participate in at a minimum 4 tournaments, possibly more. Again, details are still being worked out as very few 2016 Tournaments have been announced. Distance will typically be within 90 minutes of Downingtown. It is not necessary to travel far in order to play high level baseball.

Games: Scrimmage games against other local travel teams will be held throughout the Spring. We are sure you have other questions and will look forward to addressing those during tryouts.
