About EBYA Outdoor Soccer

EBYA Outdoor Soccer is held in the Spring and Fall of each year and is open to all boys and girls ages 4 to 18. EBYA is an all-volunteer non-profit organization and EBYA accepts players from all areas. The EBYA recreational soccer program provides instructional soccer for children of all ages and abilities. Our programs emphasize good sportsmanship, participation, team play, and fun, but at the same time, help develop confidence and self-esteem. Games for players 7 and above have current State certified referees.

EBYA is a volunteer organization that relies on the willingness of parents to volunteer to coach and help with other functions to keep the organization moving forward. Please step forward and offer to volunteer in some capacity.

Teams will be assigned a practice night based off of the coaches preference.

Our format is one practice per week and one game per week.
Practices are one night a week and are scheduled for one hour.
Game are played on Saturday mornings or afternoons.

We plan for our season to be 9 to 10 weeks long for a total of 9 or 10 game.
We attempt to makeup as many rainouts as possible.

All practices and games are held at East Brandywine Community Park.
* The following divisions may play occasional inter-league games with LYA & GEYA requiring a small amount of traveling:
Middle School Boys, Middle School Girls, and High School COED

Note - Sundays are reserved in the event of rainouts for makeup games.
*Sunday games will start at their originally scheduled game time (morning or afternoon)

Covid-19 Adjustments - Please be aware of the Covid-19 requirements for players, coaches, and spectators. No exceptions.
Please review - 2021 ebya spring soccer - covid-19 adjustments and league guidelines - rev1.2.pdf
Each player, coach and referee will receive a temperature check using a non-contact thermometer, and that temperature will be recorded should it be required for contact tracing. The check also requires review of Covid-19 symptoms (click here to review Covid-19 Symptom Worksheet) and if any symptoms are present - participation will not be permitted that day.
Players should wait in their cars if they see more than 10 people in line for the temperature check-in process.
If a player records a temperature of 100.4 or greater, that player will be sent home, and it is recommended that they see a physician.
A player who passes the check-in process can then join in warm-up drills until the game begins.
Players who test positive at any point during the season must report the positive result to EBYA. Players must sit out for 10 days in order to return.
